This setting of L’kha Dodi, a central moment of welcoming the Shabbat as a community, is definitely one of the top three of over thirty liturgical pieces created in collaboration with composer Oran Eldor. Commissioned in 2013 by Park Avenue Synagogue, it soon became a new 'traditional melody' and is now being sung in synagogues all over the country. Here’s how it sounded live in Jerusalem during our congregational trip to Israel last December. For sheet music: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/... Come, my beloved, to greet the bride; let us welcome Shabbat. Our incomparable God made us hear in one utterance “observe” and “remember.” The Lord is One and His name is One, reflected in fame, in splendor, and in praise. Come, let us go to greet Shabbat, for she is the source of blessings. ... Come in peace ... come with joy and jubilation. Into the midst of the faithful of the treasured nation, enter, O bride! Enter, O bride!
