Skiwelt 2026 - Itter descent from Hohe Salve (Snowy)

22nd February 2026, 11:45 Unfortunately a bit blurry due to the snowy/wet conditions. Coming out of top of Salvenbahn gondola from Hopfgarten we are straight onto the start of a group of slopes - Red 21/22 to Hopfgarten, Red 30/31 to Itter and Red 40 towards Soll. At 00:30 there is the option to head to the right and pick up the Black 42/42a runs, however we stay on the reds, which all effectively follow the same route at the start although at 1:05 I head to the right at the top of the Rigi chairlift to take a slightly steeper route down. We follow the line of the Rigi chair, noting to the right at 2:15 is a small link to the Black 42a. At this point the main slope heads left and passes under the Rigi chair to join up with the other pistes. We keep to the right at 3:05, following the steeper route which then passes under the Kasbichl chair at 3:50 where you want to pick up a bit of speed to take you up the slight slope as we pass the bottom statin of the Rigi chair (4:00) where we join the main slope, labelled variously as Blue or Red 30/31. At 5:40 we pass the mid station of the Salvistabahn gondola from Itter where we keep left and pass the small church and then pass under the gondola where we are on the Red 30. Before the church you can head off to the right to go towards Soll. The run is a mix of flat, road type sections with steeper, wider parts. The piste conditions were pretty good making it a nice long run. There is a longer steep section from 7:50 until about 10:40 although the view get's a bit blurry again. The last section is a long, relatively flat section, crossing over a road on the way. To the right as we near the end you get a view towards the nursery drag lift, which starts beside the gondola station itself.
