Producer and Musician Katherine Christie Evans presents her latest genre-defying and inventive piece, Lucente Stella (Shining Star). This is a bold and contemporary reworking of an anonymous Medieval love song found in an Italian manuscript from the 1400s, the Codex Rossi. Lucente Stella is a song of unrequited, distant and impossible love. In Katherine’s interpretation, the agile vocal melody weaves through a dark, immersive soundscape featuring layers of overdriven guitar, ambient sound design and analogue drums reminiscent of Kraftwerk. The release is accompanied by an original music video by renowned Italian multimedia artist Thomas Tokamu. His stunning technological visuals bring this beautiful Medieval song into the present day to find new audiences. https://www.katherineevans.uk https://katherinechristieevans.bandca... -------------------------------------- Shining star Undoing of my heart If love moves you to look upon me anew Take pity on one who dies for you. To him who gazes at your lovely face Your sweet demeanour promises salvation Your thieving eyes and your appealing smile Have the power to hone and refine my life Showing compassion for my grievous wounds And yet I feel in the end that your worth Is cruelly destroying my heart.
