This flight was the 2nd Maiden, testing the Flaps Down Indicator Light (Red), and Camera focus. The Spring change worked well. The F-80 is a cool plane to fly from the cockpit, especially with sound. The only issue I have is the Nose Gear Connecting Pin. It’s too brittle and breaks on grass landings. At the end of this video, you can see one of my LX-B-25’s land pretty hard in high wind. The nose gear never took any damage. They made it durable. Freewing should do the same with the F80. To modify/improve the F80 Nose Gear, I fabricated a 5/32’d Piano Wire (also shown in the video). This will now be installed because the stock pin sucks. For all those people who fly LOS, flying from the cockpit with sound is very enjoyable, and with the improvements in Signals, you want to fly further and higher every time you go up. Freewing LED Light Module, Speaker, Amplifier, Benedini Sound Board, Andrew Gardner Gimbal, Immersion VTX, Lumineer AXII, Attitude V2 Goggles, Futaba Radio/14Ch Receiver. Note: I had no static in the Goggles, but the Ground Station shows static.)
