Gay LDS author Tom Christofferson interviews Darius Gray. Darius talks about his experience as a convert and a black member of the church before the ban prohibiting blacks from receiving the priesthood was reversed in 1978. Darius is the author of several books. He has experience working as a journalist and worked as director of the Freedman's Bank Records project for the LDS Church. Darius was a counselor in the presidency for the church's Genesis Group. He studied at BYU and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Utah Since the first worldwide Gather Conference in 2023, Gather has become the world's largest gathering of LGBTQ+ Latter-day Saints and those who love them (including parents, spouses, siblings, grandparents, friends, community and church leaders, and allies).
