From his early days in the PNG Defence Force to joining Emirates Airlines in 1998, Captain Tico Narara became the first Papua New Guinean to command the Airbus A380, the world’s largest commercial airliner. For over two decades, he flew across the globe, putting PNG on the world aviation map. In 2020, he returned home to serve as Executive Manager for Flight Training and Standards at Air Niugini, playing a vital role in training the next generation of pilots and introducing the Airbus A220 to PNG skies.
