We caught up with not one, but two BYJU’S Young Geniuses for this special interview! And they’re both musical prodigies. Meet flautist Anirban Roy and percussionist Steven Samuel Devassy. Coming from a small town in West Bengal, 10-year-old Anirban is a recipient of the prestigious Dr M S Subbulakshmi Fellowship in music. He has performed alongside legends like Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and Kaushiki Chakraborty. Belonging to the Maihar gharana of classical music, he is a virtuoso who can play a wide variety of flutes. Steven is a percussionist based out of Chennai. Under the tutelage of the legendary drummer Sivamani, Steven completed his grade 8 exam from the Trinity College of London at the age of 11. Now aged 14, he also composes music and even has his own YouTube channel. His song ‘10,000 Reasons’ has garnered over 60 million views.
