Zeven muzikanten weten de melancholie, hartstocht en uitbundigheid die zo kenmerkend is voor zigeunermuziek op onnavolgbare wijze neer te zetten met hun instrumenten én hun enthousiasme. Het orkest wordt gevormd door drie violisten, een klarinet- tárogató- en fluerspeler, een accordeoniste, een pianist en een contrabassist. Zij vonden elkaar vanwege hun gezamenlijke passie voor oude volksmelodieën uit Midden- en Oost-Europa, gespeeld op de manier van de rondtrekkende zigeuners.
