There are several versions of the famous Coledale Horseshoe walk; the glorious circle of fells visible from Keswick in the English Lake District; in this one, Neil starts at Braithwaite, and visits 7 Wainwrights: Grisedale Pike, Crag Hill (Wainwright's "Eel Crag"), Sail, Scar Crags, Causey Pike, Outerside and Barrow. At somewhere around 10 miles, and 4,429 ft, or 1,350 m of ascent, it's a big old walk, but the view of the surrounding fells is hard to beat. He didn't visit Hopegill Head, which is often included in the Coledale Horseshoe, but it's always good to save something for another day!
