The video shows Ajay Mishra abusing and manhandling a journalist after being questioned about a report on his son by the UP Police's Special Investigation Team. The minister's son, Ashish Mishra, was arrested in the Lakhimpur Kheri case. The murders of farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri were planned, investigators claimed Tuesday. In October, eight people were killed in a demonstration against agricultural legislation in Uttar Pradesh. Protesters were allegedly driven over by an Ashish Mishra vehicle. In a video posted on social media on Wednesday, a journalist asks Ajay Mishra about the report. The Union minister is enraged and tells him not to ask “bewkoofi ke sawaal”. “Phone band kar be [turn off the phone]!” he yells at another journalist filming. Mishra then inquires about his son's legal status. A journalist responds that the investigating team has made claims. Ajay Mishra then instructs the journalist to question the charges. Is it true? These reporters... These robbers did this to an unsuspecting... “They have no shame,” Mishra says. After the incident, the journalist who posed the inquiry claimed his colleagues' phones were stolen. The minister's lunged journalist confirmed the claims, saying BJP members had taken the phones. “They still have my phone,” the second journalist claimed. Those who took his phone told him to delete the videos. Nobody told him the cops were there, he claimed. Videos were taken when Mishra went to Lakhimpur Kheri to inaugurate an oxygen plant, per NDTV. #lakhimpurkheri #farmerprotest #UPPOLICE Indian Journo is the medium of informing you on the latest and various news events and will help you stay up to date on the events shaping our world.
