Sound Cloud -   / studio5production   The Qaseeda Ghousia was written by our Master, Hazrat Muhiyuddin Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (Radiallaahu ta'aalaa anhu). There is not the slightest of egotism in the aforesaid "My foot is on the shoulder of all Saints". The Hazrat completely mastered his lower self {ego/nafs}. He who tried throughout his earthly life, by his examples, sermons and writings, to wean mankind from all lower desires and passions could not for a moment think of self-exaltation. It was only after the Sultan of Saints {Sultan al-Awliya} had mastered his ego and became a perfect man, and only by the inspired command of The Holy Prophet {sall'Allaahu ta'aalaa alaihi wa'sallam} that he became a teacher and established contact with other people. Though many Sufis had written before him, it was Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jeelani {radiy'Allaahu ta'aalaa anhu} who most clearly defined the Path and explained the terms, which, since then, have become accepted practices. He gave a Sufi explanation of the fundamental duties of Islaam - prayer, fasting, alms giving and pilgrimage, etc. There are a lot of properties associated with this Blessed Qaseeda Ghousia. Among them, the person that recites this Qaseeda Ghousia eleven {11} times every day will be near and dear to Allaahu ta'aalaa. Secondly whoever recites this Qaseeda Ghousia, his memory will be strengthened so much so that whatever he reads or hears he will remember. Thirdly, by reading this Qaseeda Ghousia will be able learn the Arabic language easily. Fourthly, whoever recites this Qaseeda Ghousia for forty days for a particular purpose he will be able to fulfil that. Fifthly, if a person keeps this Qaseeda Ghousia in from of his eyes and reads it three times a day, and if he doesn't know how to read, he listens to it recitation and doesn't separate from this Blessed Qaseeda Ghousia, and has a strong belief and love for what he is listening to or reciting, then he will see Hazrat Ghousus Saqlain {radiy'Allaahu ta'aalaa anhu}. By reciting this Blessed Qaseeda Ghousia, a nisbah {spiritual connection} is formed with the sincere reciter and Hadrath Gousus Saqlain {radiy'Allaahu ta'aalaa anhu}. VIRTUES OF QASEEDA GHOUSIA Hadrath Peer Syed Taahir Alahudeen Jeelani {rahmatullaahi alaih} who was amongst the direct descendents of Hadrath Ghoussu Saqlain {radiy'Allaahu ta'aalaa anhu} in his book "Tazkira Qaadria" has outlined the rules and benefits of recitation of Qaseeda Ghousia. This Qaseeda Ghousia can be recited for all kinds of difficulties relating to the worldly and spiritual life and is beneficial in solving problems. Recitation of this Qaseeda Ghousia can also grant a person the vision of Allaahu ta'aalaa and of Holy Prophet {sall'Allaahu ta'aalaa alaihi wa'sallam} and Awliya Allaah as well. One has to a Sunni possessing the correct beliefs, obeying the Shari'ah, who speaks the truth and consumes Halaal sustenance. I hope that through the Faiz of Qaseeda Ghousia one will achieve one's objective for the purposes that one is reciting it. Listed below are some of the ethics and benefits of Qaseeda Ghousia:- 1. On the first of any Islamic lunar month, recite Qaseeda Ghousia at least 41 times after Isha or after Tahajjud. Recite Durood Shareef 11 times before and after. Offer Fateha for The Holy Prophet {sall'Allaahu ta'aalaa alaihi wa'sallam} and Hazrat Ghousus Saqlain {radiy'Allaahu ta'aalaa anhu} and all the Mashaa'ikh of Silsila Aaliya Qaadria {radiy'Allaahu ta'aalaa anhum ajmain}. Note that first offer the Fateha, 11 Duroods, recite Qaseeda Ghousia, 11 Duroods and then the same Fateha. While reciting one must make Tasawwur-e-Sheikh or picture his Sheikh. If one gets the Ijazah {permission} of his Sheikh that is more better. 2. The benefit of the 1st stanza: The first stanza: 'Saqaanil Hubbu' ta'aali' is read 1000 times for 11 days continuously if one has the intention to achieve the Ma'rifat {recognition of Allaahu ta'aalaa}. If one wishes to bring back a beloved or someone who is lost or separated must read this stanza every day 500 times for 11 days. Durood Shareef must be read 11 times before and after. The preferable time for this is after Isha or Tahajjud. One must face the Qibla. All Jalaali and Jamaali {meat, chicken, eggs, etc.} things should be avoided.
