This street is one of the first streets in Tehran that has been paved and later asphalted. Today, this street is located in District 12 of Tehran Municipality and is a stock exchange for selling suits. Bab Homayoun Street is a short street that is located in the 12th district of Tehran Municipality and starts from Imam Khomeini Square (old name: Topkhaneh Square) and ends at Surasrafil Street (old name: inner door). This street is accessible through Imam Khomeini metro station. Also, the entire area of this street is included in the traffic plan of Tehran Municipality and the passage of private vehicles is prohibited. Nowruz Nowruz is the first day of the Iranian solar year, equal to the 1st of Farvardin, the celebration of the beginning of the Iranian New Year and one of the oldest celebrations left from the time of ancient Iran.
