The Ortholox® Locking Periprosthetic Support Condylar Distal Femur Cable-Plate-4.5/5.0mm is part of the Ortholox® Locking Periprosthetic Plating System, which brings alternative solution for periprosthetic fractures. Condylar Distal Femur Cable-Plate is a Titanium Alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) plate. The plate is designed to best fit to the anatomy of the distal lateral femur. Distal screw holes are suitable for 5.0mm locking screws or 5.0mm blunt tip locking Periprosthetic screws. Angles of threaded screw holes in the distal part were prepared in accordance with the anatomy of the condylar region. The shaft of the plate is suitable for 4.5mm non-locking, 5.0mm locking cortical screws or 5.0 mm blunt tip locking screws. Strengthening the distal femoral fixation in osteoporotic bone is achieved by the application of locking screws, and plate-bone friction interface by using non-locking screw. The locking screw holes in the plate shaft are coaxial combi holes. This provides the surgeon with the flexibility to achieve axial compression or angular stability.
