Johns Hopkins Bayview Lay Health Educator Program

Since its launch in 2011, more than 100 community members have graduated from the Lay Health Educator Program and impacted thousands of Baltimore City residents. Many of Johns Hopkins Bayview’s medical residents have served as LHE instructors and have found the program rewarding. They have commented that their participation in the program has resulted in a better understanding of the community’s health priorities and strengthened the relationships they have with their patients.
