GlideApp Rental Code Inspection and external reporting app

I have not used GlideApps for a while and found the new interface a bit confusing to start off with. I made a few mistakes but found there are lots of new goodies to play with. Well done Glide Team, this is becoming a pretty impressive and powerful tool. Some new Legislation for Rental properties is coming to New Zealand. Property management companies need to do inspections on existing rental properties and report back to owners what parts comply/fail. Their existing method is to inspect properties and write everything on paper. Then take that information back to the office and input it into a computer and automate a report to Property owners. This was an attempt to develop a GlideApp that would allow minimal writing/input but use pull down pre-selected choices to speed up inspections, also have the data a lot cleaner (hard to type on mobile phone app) and then verify compliance of a particular item such as Smoke Detector requirements, then create a Template for PASS/FAIL with indications of issue for an external report to Client. To do this I used a Google Sheet Add-in AutoCrat (free) to create a Template that could compile to the relevant fields (Templated in Google Sheets) to then export to a Google Doc report that could then be edited or sent on to clients. I tried to use the Template Column of GlideApps but that was focused on sending data INTO GlideApps, not to External source, so ended up creating my own. This was a prototype and I just used 2 sheets, one for Lookups, one for data from Glide. It could be developed into a more sophisticated app. Along the way, I found that you needed to use an online calculator to calculate the thermal heat loss for a space. That might be an interesting project to do with GlideApps, an online heat load calculator with report for U or R values.
