ISONGA AP PROGRAM - The story of Elisabeth

A Story of Change: Ntibaziyandemye Elisabeth Ntibaziyandemye Elisabeth, a resident of Nanganzo village in Gitovu cell, remembers the struggles she once faced. Her house was in such poor condition that whenever it rained, water would leak through the roof, leaving her with no safe place to stay. Life was uncertain, and each rainy day brought new worries. Through the support of ARDE/KUBAHO in partnership with World Vision Rwanda, Elisabeth’s life began to change. She was provided with roofing materials, and today she lives in a safe home where she no longer fears the rain. Beyond shelter, Elisabeth also discovered a new path toward personal growth. After attending trainings on mindset transformation and self-reliance, she started saving money with her group. Her dream is to buy a pig—what she calls “kirigita ifaranga” or “the money tickler”—to further improve her family’s income and well-being. Elisabeth’s story is one of resilience, gratitude, and hope for a brighter future.
