In our previous blog, Nepočin, we said that we should also mention the predecessor of the group, Drugi Način. In fact, let's say that at the very beginning of the work there was a band called Zlatni Akordi. The band members, who made demo recordings with this name for a while, came to the market with a single in 1973 and saw that their work paid off. They are starting to work on the album recording and in 1975 they record and release their first album. Although it is a quality and successful album, they cannot keep the group together and they disperse. Some members of the group are founding Nepočin, while others are being thrown in different directions. Even though they reunited and recorded an album in the early 80's, they could not achieve the success they wanted. They try their luck once again in 1992 and it doesn't work again. They make one last beat in 2016 and produce a quality work almost as good as their first album. However, it seems that there is no need to continue where commercial success does not come. Founded in Zagreb, Yugoslavia (corresponding to today's Croatia), the name of the group comes from a poem by Federico Garcia Lorca and means another way. Considering the band's music and style, the name really fits. The band's first and only recording in the 70's, which suddenly started to shine, can be seen as a high-level album for Yugoslavia of the time. We can easily count a few more albums like this one. Therefore, it would not be wrong to say that it is one of the best. Drugi Način is a concept album shaped on the theme of love and loneliness. They even constructed it so well that when you read the names of the songs combined, a sentence like "Again, the empire of loneliness in my palm continued to rain on the yellow leaf and the old city". Considering that it is based on the theme of love and loneliness, it is obvious that they made a good shot. Considered one of the classics of Yugoslavia's Progressive Rock works at that time, the album focuses on Heavy Progressive Rock. It reminds me of Uriah Heep at some points, but it's also obvious that they have a style of their own. Their use of a David Byronesque vocal technique also adds a nice effect to the album. On the other hand, besides band's hard guitar riffs with solo flutes, they also reminds Jethro Tull.
