Step 5: It's Gone So Wrong! Home Barrel Aging Project

Here's how it's gone so far. 👇 Step One: I filled the new charred barrel with water for about a week to swell and seal it. Step Two: I filled it with Bacardi Rum for about 2 months. (During the winter.) The rum got some nice color thanks to the barrel. Step 3: I dumped the rum and filled the barrel with Bendt Distilling Unbendt Straight Rye Whiskey for about 3 months. (I should have stopped at 2.) Step 4: I dumped the rye and filled the barrel with Hennessy White.
