Johnny Cash Cummins powered 1940 hotrod truck is getting a custom flatbed.

Johnny Cash is a 1940 Chevy truck cab, with a 1940 dodge front end mounted on 1993 12 valve Cummins chassis. This is a VE pump 12 valve that's been turned up a bit, runs really well. The transmission is a 518 automatic, which is basically a 727 with overdrive. We swapped in a posi Dana 80 with a 3.54 gear in place of the 4.10 open diff 14 bolt that came in it. The cab has suicide door which are super cool, along with the crank out windshield. We bought Johnny Cash as someone else's started and unfinished project and are slowly making progress. We started by servicing every fluid and filter on the truck which it desperately needed. Then wire wheeled and painted the rear frame along with that Dana 80 swap. Then lowered the truck 5 inches front and 3 inches rear. Built a killer dual 4" stainless stack exhaust for it. Swapped in a cool vintage mooneye steering wheel and got the front and rear glass in. Now we are working on installing the gooseneck hitch and this used flatbed i picked up. Big shout out to my buddy Tracy ‪@deepsouthclassics9446‬ for finding me a 1940 Alabama tag to put on the truck!
