HEAVY BREATHER - Fast Nickel

So. This is Heavy Breather, a punk band from Phoenix, Arizona. Now, I'm sure you're picking up that their sounds are a bit different when it regards to my channel's previous content. It's considerably more refined and deliberate than the usual shit-smeared punk goodies I usually post, but I sincerely dig this tape and would love to share it, regardless of its minor inconsistency with the rest of my channel. Punk comes in many shapes n' sizes, yo. Admittedly, I wasn't instantly enamored by this group. I was familiar with the group prior to having it brought to my attention recently, as I considered attending one of their shows earlier this year. I appreciated what was presented to me, and for the sake of supporting local artists, I considered posting it on my channel on that merit alone. However, after a few listens, I was suckered. Heavy Breather has some groovy sounds, delineated by by the use of a satisfying rhythm guitar. Surprise Bag's "suh-suh-suh-suh-suh-surprise" line and its accompanying riffs were imprinted on my membrane for a good long while, which is a promising sign for any group. The music's dense and makes for a really interesting involved listen, especially with Surprise Bag and Pity Party. I highly suggest checking these guys out, they surprised me plenty and maybe they will for you too. It's may not be a thrasher, but it's definitely something worthwhile.
