During WWII, the Nazis unleashed unspeakable horrors at Babyn Yar, where they mercilessly murdered between 70,000 to 100,000 people, including nearly all of Kyiv's Jewish population. This harrowing site witnessed one of the largest mass killings during the Nazi campaign against the Soviet Union, with a horrifying 34,000 Jews massacred over just two days in September 1941.
