Sailing SCAMP Wildflower with Dan 6/5/2025

Another lovely day on Tomales Bay with my lovely SCAMP. This time I am joined by close friend Dan, who loves sailing and Tomales Bay. We are just a couple of old guys shooting the breeze. The wind started strong out of the south west, which is unusual for this spot, and then turned westerly. It was gusty. Fortunately, the SCAMP is so easy to sail one can just depower the main by slackening the mainsheet. Later in the video the wind is 15-20 knots with gusts above that, but even under full sail the SCAMP keeps you safe. All of the footage was shot with the Insta360 X3 camera and edited with Lumafusion. Audio was captured with two inexpensive lapel mics from Movo, with "dead cat" covers. So there is no wind noise at all. It is hard to appreciate the wind, but I think you can see the white caps. My e-Lite motor was mounted on the back, but was not used.
