Hallowishes fireworks show at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party around Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort in 2012. This is the fully stabilized version of our HalloWishes recording. HalloWishes (also known as Happy HalloWishes: A Grim Grinning Ghosts Spooktacular in the Sky) is a fireworks show that is loosely based on Disney's popular Haunted Mansion attraction and features vocal appearances by Disney Villains as well as Halloween-themed music from Disney films. The residents of the Haunted Mansion, led by the mansion's "Ghost Host," are preparing for a Halloween celebration, according to the premise of HalloWishes. Madame Leota's 999 happy haunts are the first to arrive as the opening lines of "Grim Grinning Ghosts" are played, followed by a pop band version. After the Ghost Host greets guests, "This is Halloween" from The Nightmare Before Christmas sets the tone. The guests are then serenaded in a medley of Disney's spookiest music by the spirits' special brand of karaoke (which the script refers to as "scary-oke music; just a few tombs [tunes] we've 'dug up' for the occasion" Later, some of Disney's most infamous villains join in on the fun, beginning with Ursula from The Little Mermaid "plopping in" and adding her own musical mix to the festivities. Aladdin's Jafar and The Nightmare Before Christmas' Oogie Boogie Before Christmas soon follows, and (until 2008), Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty arrives last but far from least, showing us how Halloween should truly be celebrated. The party comes to a close with the "scream-along" grand finale.
