My son attends an audio engineering and music production school. He is a talented artist, writes interesting songs, and plays guitar and piano quite well, but he does not play drums. As part of an assignment he received, he decided to use an acoustic drum kit for one of his songs, and he decided to turn to me, which made me very happy. The drum kit available was a Sonor SQ2, which I was completely unfamiliar with. It was rather poorly tuned, and I only had a couple of minutes to at least tune the snare drum and remove the most disturbing harmonics from the toms. I then had a couple of minutes to get used to the instrument a little, and they made this short video for me. I was super impressed with the quality of this drum kit, which I believe is made of birch with very thin shells. Aquarian Response 2 batter heads and original resonant heads on the toms, coated Aquarian on the snare drum, and Aquarian also on the bass drum (I don't remember the model).
