Round 5 of the GT7 WSQ takes place at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, in Belgium. Known as "The Ardennes Rollercoaster," a nickname that captures its thrilling, high-speed layout through Belgium's Ardennes forest—complete with massive elevation changes (over 100m swings), flowing fast corners like Blanchimont and Pouhon, and the iconic Raidillon/Eau Rouge sequence that feels like a true rollercoaster ride. Drivers and fans love it for the adrenaline, unpredictability (especially the weather), and pure driver's track vibe, with Bus Stop Chicane being a literal bus stop until the year 2000! At 7 km (4.35 miles), it is the longest Formula 1 track in their series where Michael Schumacher still reigns supreme with 6 Belgian GP triumphs (1992, 1995, 1997, 2001, 2002, 2007). This Gran Turismo 7 event had dynamic weather set randomly for each race, and I was prepared for a wild rain race for my run but had a completely dry track in my event. As I've progressed through this 2026 tournament, so has my experience level and and DR and SR ratings so I was placed in a tougher lobby that had the 1st and 2nd place drivers putting up lap times only a couple seconds shy of the top Gran Turismo drivers in the world. So against this stiff competition for the first time i pretty much stayed locked in place the whole race and finished in 8th. The long straightaways were not conducive to the Porsche 911 RSR (991) '17 that i was driving, not getting as much top speed down them as other cars in the race, but out performing them in the corners and chicanes kept me competitive and allowed me to maintain my position throughout the race. Since this wasn't that action packed until the end, this video only highlights my last 2 laps for posterity and the continuity of my archiving of my Manufacturers Cup tournament performance.
