This is a rerelease of my original My Eyes Have Seen You video. This remake has a better piano sound and much more accurate notes. My Eyes Have Seen You was recorded between May and August of 1967. This song was another of Jim’s early writings, in fact, it was one of the songs Jim sung for Ray on Venice Beach song with Moonlight Drive. That moment is what started the Doors. This song has elements of Rock, Latin, and psychedelia. Ray plays an intricate tack piano part and it is the only keyboard part he plays on the song. It isn’t necessarily simple but it isn’t necessarily difficult. Both hands wander off into their own riff but the part definitely follows a clear pattern.
