Thanks for checking out my first video: Here's my experience of the UK's Three Peak Challenge. Music: www.bensound.com Three Peak Challenge Information: Parking Ben Nevis: On the road conveniently named "Ben Nevis" there is a youth hostel named "Glen Nevis Youth Hostel". Once you drive past this you'll see a few lay-bys where you can park for free. You will also be extremely close to the trail start. Scafell Pike: Just past "Wast Water Lake" you'll find "Wasdale Carpark for Scafell Pike". I believe this is owned by The National Trust there is a small parking fee. Location is right next to the trail start. Snowdon: By far the trickiest regarding parking. The main car park named "Pen-Y-Pass" is just off the A4086 and will almost guaranteed be full by 6:30am. If you head towards Llanberis you'll find a Park and ride system which will take you back up to the foot of the trail. Like Scafell Pike, there is also a fee. Personal Notes: First off, a super challenge that I will do again next year! Regarding our time, it's safe to say we were just simply too casual between mountains e.g. three service station stop offs and the occasional wrong turn! It didn't help that we took the wrong route up Scafell Pike which I believe is called Mickedore Gully. Arriving at 2:45 am with a lack of torches caused us to take the wrong route (you're supposed to cross the waterfall) leading us to an intense incline! We had planned to climb Crib Goch at Snowdon and whilst making the ascent realised we might even struggle to complete the challenge within 24 hours! Therefore we took a U-turn and started running up the normal route. I know it sounds like I'm making excuses (which I completely am), so hopefully next time I'll get a sub 20 hour time!
