I'm a big fan of the octave mandolin or ""Irish Bouzouki."" This one is easy to play and has a perfectly balanced tone with sweet highs, powerful mids and full bass. Definitely a great deal. Hard to believe Gold Tone can produce an Octave Mandolin (Bouzouki) this good at this price, but man this is fun! The nut width and neck feel great and the sounds really projects. This would be a great instrument for Celtic jams, a band setting or anyone that wants to try something new.
