We compare the construction methods between the Goodyear welted English-made Cheaney and the cemented construction of the Tod’s, highlighting the differences in build, materials, and long-term durability. Both pairs came in for repair – the Cheaney needing a standard rebuild and the Tod’s requiring rebonding and stitching to strengthen the sole.
