Nakasendo is an ancient walking path in Japan that connects Kyoto to Tokyo. It was used during the Edo period (1603-1868) as one of the country's five main routes. "Nakasendo" literally translates to "central mountain path" in Japanese, as it traversed the mountains of central Japan. We will cover a distance of 8 km along the Nakasendo trail, connecting the villages of Magome and Tsumago (Majore-juku / Tsumago-juku).
