I 3D printed a 2-foot tall Darth Vader… on a Bambu Lab A1 mini. After a long search for the right model, I finally found one on Etsy that had the right proportions and clean part splits for a large-scale build. From there, it was days of printing, arranging parts in Bambu Studio, careful assembly, and adding a custom glowing lightsaber. For the saber, I used a 30cm flexible warm light LED powered by a 3V flat battery. The LED sits inside hollow red tubes I printed, with the wires routed through the arm to a battery pack hidden on the back of the figure. After assembly, I spray painted the entire model black to cover seams and glue marks, then hand-painted the shoulder armour in silver acrylic and detailed the chest plate and belts. Big build. Small printer. Worth it.
