part of ramlilac's Somewhere City album-length montage!! back to our regularly scheduled content after this. credits and pingu ramble below! song: Skeleton Key by @origamiangeldc edited by: / pinguefied featuring: / alievityy / ejenic_ / immie573 / jennqt_ / keeahfps / matty_ow / adorafps / ninjaatlas / enri623 / loatheria / misscolourz / nocmorii / neeshnoo / paintthinnerinc / rileycs_ / riqyriqyriqy / severe_ow / shinraiju / sillydomi / 1tenji / viscoseoce editor commentary: the entire cardboard aesthetic was inspired by Origami Angel's old music videos (Doctor Whomst and Sapphire) and the pokemon are inspired by the dratini sprites on ryland's guitar. i thought they added a lot of character and i borrowed the idea for the tags! shoutout to the pokemon romhackers for the gen3 style sprites!! the tags are made from a cereal box, and the TV is made from the box my guitar came in. the angel is made out of origami i did hand draw the tags, but i didn't hand draw the frames or pfps haha in both the intro and outro i was attacked by australian fauna while filming i think this is my best work in terms of composition and sync. there's a lot of small moments in this one that i kinda stumbled into, like building up to a moment at 0:29 by using clips with a descending number of strafes, or transitioning between sections by using a clip that fits into both (like viscose's 180 in ow bridging the speed ts and evasive switching) enri's appearance almost didn't happen. we were originally looking for a map at 160 bpm for him to play in fposu but the holiday season got too busy. just when i'd given up hope, i remembered he had a score on countdown 321, which is almost exactly double the bpm of skeleton key. it's not perfect but it works pretty well imo :D i tried to take inspiration from cod montages for the closer. never tried speed ramping before since it doesn't really work outside of sniping tages, but it was super satisfying when everything came together! thank you again to Whoovie for the advice on that part. i might make a video on some of the concepts i like to use to make clipdumps more cohesive and fun to watch. lmk if u would be interested fr this time, i will not be making another montage this high effort until wave 3. i've got a growing list of projects for my own channels that i haven't started, and i gotta lock in for community events/spotlight and sotw. thank you for watching and supporting us!!
