Today the we got to exchange with Cuban music students at an arts high school in Havana and learn at a Cuban percussion and dance workshop. Hi my name is Regan Livingstone and I'm the music director at G.P. Vanier Secodary School in Courtney-Comox on Vancouver Island. We're here in Havana, Cuba on a cultural exchange. This has been an amazing experience.for my students. Canada Cuba Sports and Cultural Festivals get's it! I highly recommend that you come here. This is a transformative week. You don't understand how amazing it is until you're actually here. The experiences my students gain through the interactions with the Cuban people, their performances, the events that they go to, the music and the culture that they see... it's out of this world.
