We see and treat all patients with gastroparesis and offer all types of surgical treatments after medical and endoscopic therapies fail. This is a typical robotic pyloroplasty. It is shown with minimal edits at 3x speed. It is typically offered for patients who have previously been treated for gastroparesis and are found to have a severely stenotic pylorus. These patients often have only short-term success with endoscopic dilations. This leads them to pursue surgical treatments. The surgery typically uses four trocars and can last under an hour.
