Big-time snow is coming as we head into the weekend and next week, as a new pattern gets underway across the United States. We are warming up in the East this week and a lot of snow is beginning to melt through the Ohio Valley as temperatures climb into the 50s. However, areas of light snow are still working through the Northeast. But the big ticket item will be the Valentine's storm that will sweep across the nation this weekend, bringing heavy rain from Texas to Virginia, and possibly severe weather across the southern Plains into the Deep South. It's even possible for some areas of the Mid-Atlantic to pick up some snowfall as the storm pulls east off the coast. Next week, the pattern will shift as the jet stream slams into the West, bringing a ton of precipitation over the next couple of weeks. Much of that will fall in the form of snow across most of the mountain ranges out west and into the Rockies. We'll watch for a couple of bigger storms to affect the middle of the country as we get closer to the end of February. I cover all of that and more in today's video.
