SLDG: Chimney Hollow Dam & Reservoir Project - History & Project Status, April 16, 2025

The South Larimer Discussion Group (SLDG) of the League of Women Voters of Larimer County hosted Jeff Stahla, Northern Water's Public Information Officer, on April 16, 2025 for a presentation on the Chimney Hollow Dam and Reservoir Project, which is nearing completion in west Loveland. League members as well as members of the public joining this Zoom session learned a great deal from Jeff about the history of the water issue in Colorado and the greater West, the history of water infrastructure across Northern Colorado, why the Chimney Hollow reservoir is needed, the project participants who have claims on the water that will be stored, and details on the dam construction and reservoir that will start being filled with water later this year. Give the video a watch! You'll be glad you did!
