Manosque, A wonderful city in the heart of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in the South of France. The city is calm and full of life. Especially during the Saturday Market, people from all over the region come to this city. The city is surrounded by mountains. Mountain Mont d'Or is the heart of this Provence. In this video. I visit La tour du Mont d'Or (The Tower Over the Mountain Mont d'Or). It's a one-hour trek from Manosque. The mountain is covered by lush green olive trees. Now they are full of Olives. August to November is the Olive picking season and Southern France is famous for its Olives as well. In the video you can see, there are different colors of the Olives (Green, Rosy, Black), they are in different stages of their ripening process. Olives can not be eaten when they are ripe. It tastes very bad. They have to be processed to be eaten raw or to produce Olive Oil. In this video, I spoke to few French Local People who are plucking Olive with their Hands.
