“When…” in Japanese: “-RU TOKI”(-るとき), “-TA TOKI” (-たとき)-, Part 2, Grammar 118

In this video we’ll cover 2 Japanese grammatical forms that can be translated as “when”: “-RU TOKI”(-るとき) and“-TA TOKI” (-たとき). First we’ll discuss the difference between the DICTIONARY FORM (ending in -ru)+TOKI and the other way, TA FORM +TOKI: ・Dictionary Form(Non-past form) indicates an action that happens all the time (or with some frequency) and also, if the action isn’t completed yet ・The TA-Form(Past form) is used when the action is already over and finished.
