Hi friends…the other day I ran out of floetrol so I decided on a when to do a Pearl pour with just paint and satin enamel. I got the best pearls ever! I first want to say that if this is an existing formula please let me know! I’ve been doing Pearl pours without satin enamel for a while now and was happy I had some for this pour. The formula is basically: Equal parts DecoArts satin enamel pure white with equal parts artist loft soft body while, a drizzle of liquitex pouring medium and water. With this particular pour the base coat was thinner than the colored paints. Basically a simple 1/2 mound before going into the cup. My color paints were thicker at least a mound to mound and a half. When I say “mound” I measure about an inch from my stir stick to the paint in the cup when I drizzle the paints back info the cup. If I go higher it will sink. (Which is ok). The color paints I used were mixed the way I usually mix them, 1 part paint, 3-5 parts floetrol, a drizzle of liquitex pouring medium and water to thin it just right! This pour was more of an experiment. If I do it again I’ll thin my color paints a little more so that I can get more pearls! I hope that makes sense and please let me know if you have heard this before or if you try and it works for you! Ok see you again for one more pour before I move! Dwight
