A week late and a dollar short, but I figured I’d stick with what I’d recorded closer to the time this all happened. It rained all last week for me, which stuffed up my nose – my voice may be just a lil off for this one. Nasally. I just kinda took it for granted that KiwiFarms would remain up for years to come, ever since I found out about it during the Kero the Wolf drama years ago. Intended as a forum site dedicated to A-logging Chris Chan, as trolls began to move on and a new generation of Lolcows came to be, the site diversified and became a repository of information and gossip for others deemed “eccentric” by the general public. This transitioned yet again in the same vein as Encyclopedia Dramatica by documenting those that some on the forums felt had committed wrongs, criminal or otherwise. While not explicitly a source of accurate information, it gradually became that way – the site culture had shifted. While KiwiFarmers should be regarded as trolls first, they did strive under certain conditions for accuracy of information, and would ridicule their own for anything less. As they exposed Pedophiles and Zoophiles for past wrong-doings, more and more YouTubers and internet denizens would visit the site to make their own determinations. However, a good proportion of KiwiFarms appear to be the least bit transphobic, standing in the way of what they refer to as “troons.” They openly use racial, homophobic, and transphobic slurs when referring to people, and have said far worse things under the auspices of the site. Largely apolitical, members of all political party’s can be found here, in spite of members of the right and left claiming that the ‘Farms favors the other side opposite their own. Given their activity’s of mocking people from a distance and exposing past wrong-doing, it’s no surprise that the site and its owner, Null, would garner so much hatred as more and more people learned of the ‘Farms existence. That all came to a head when Representative Greene and Keffals were swatted by what they claim to have been the ‘Farms doing. Cloudflare soon dropped KiwiFarms, and the rest is history...for now. Still accessible through Tor. This is a visceral reaction and merits a follow-up video, when I can pore through all materials available to me.
