I am taking you to Sand Hollow State Park in Utah. There are several water oases in the middle of the Greater Zion desert and Sand Hollow State Park is one of those crowning jewels. Whether it’s summer or our mild winters, this 20,000-acre park offers emerald-green water, relaxing sandy beaches, an extensive OHV trail system, sand dunes, and red-rock cliffs. Sand Hollow adventurers camp, boat, fish, jet ski, paddleboard, ATV, kayak, snorkel and cliff jump. Sand Hollow is a great destination in and of itself, but also fabulous for a day visit, in conjunction with a Zion National Park trip or St. George stay. Sand hallow is a reservoir, it is a manmade lake. It's officially known as Sand Hollow Reservoir, and it was created in the early 2000s as a water storage facility for the Washington County Water Conservancy District.
