CAM Presents: The Sights and Sounds of Longing in Painting from the Pahari Kingdoms Join us for a talk from Ainsley M. Cameron, PhD, Curator of South Asian Art, Islamic Art & Antiquities at the Cincinnati Art Museum with live musical performances inspired by soundscapes from the exhibition Longing: Painting from the Pahari Kingdoms of the Northwest Himalayas. Cameron will explore how paintings from the Pahari kingdoms reveal the visual, literary, political, and religious histories of the region. Interspersed throughout the lecture will be original musical performances by nationally recognized performers Stefan Fiol, playing the sitar and dhol-damaun, Jim Feist on the tabla, and Suhail Yusuf on the sarangi.
