Sled dogs are part of northern Minnesota's culture, from recreation to racing to working in the wilderness. Ryan Miller of Madison, Minn. relocated to northeast Minnesota to work for the U.S. Forest Service near Ely. After acquiring several sled dogs, he started the company Underdog Sled Dogs, which offers recreational trips.
