Suffice to say, my experiences with MG08-D derived drive models have been quite excellent. Enough to warrant purchasing more of them. Here's the largest one I've handled. This is the fifth drive of this generation I now have in operation, this one being the oldest by manufacture date whilst being the newest to be acquired. This one was ordered in early February 2023. Weirdly enough, the store I purchased it from had to delay the order by a week to "wait for new drive stock from Toshiba" (their quote, not mine). Not so "new", after all. It sounds identical to the HDWG440's I previously demonstrated, as to be expected (   • Toshiba N300 NAS HDWG440 4TB (2022) - Hard...  ). Acoustic levels seem to be fairly inconsistent with these though in the five I now own, where two of my HDWG440's are considerably louder than the other two. This includes during initialisation and general use, with each drive sporting different production months (2022-03, 2022-04 and 2022-05). Unlike my HDWG440's, which I can hear across my office space, I can't hear this one in operation at all. The serial number has been removed from the image used for the video - technically I'm not the main daily user of this drive.
