River Thames - Lechlade to Thrupp 21

Having reached the head of Navigation on the River Thames at Lechlade in July, when we were all basking in glorious sunshine, we start to heading back towards our home mooring, leaving the River just west of Oxford to re-join the Oxford Canal via Dukes Cut. This stretch of the river is quite difficult to record as it winds its way through miles and miles of farmland, water meadows and glorious countryside with few land marks or even a village to feature as a waypoint. We saw it at its very best and only wish we were able to continue on the Thames and Severn Canal that is currently being restored by the Cotsold Canals Trust. Published in December, when the weather is grey, it's really good to look back on those lazy summer days of 2018.
