Welcome to another episode of Travels With Dottie! Today’s adventure started as a “normal” desert trail ride out of Arizona Sun RV Park in Quartzsite… and turned into the longest ride we’ve ever done — 88 miles, 8 hours, and one unexpected fuel emergency. We left at 9:00 AM and didn’t return until after 5:00 PM. I ended up with four and a half hours of footage and had to cut it down fast — so you’ll notice some abrupt edits. I was exhausted, but I didn’t want to lose the energy of the day. What you’re seeing are the absolute best moments: canyon overlooks, dramatic rock formations, radio chatter, battery warnings, gas siphoning, and that final relief of rolling back into camp. Make sure to watch until the end to see how close we came to running out of fuel… and Dottie’s reaction when I finally made it home. 🧭 Key Moments in This Adventure: Insta360 camera testing in high desert wind Canyon overlook near the Colorado River Rock formations that look almost wet in the sun Driving technical washes (yes, I took the wheel) A real desert fuel emergency Siphoning gas the old-fashioned way 7% battery at the scenic overlook 88.5 miles total — longest ride yetrv #rvlife #fulltimerv #nomad #vanlife #boondocking #travel #traveltrailer #gorving #rvliving #nomadlife #honesty #authenticty #djipocket3 #winnebagomicromini I use a DJI Action 5, an iPhone 15 Pro Max, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, the Insta360 X5 and and the DJI Neo
