1942 Ford GPW Script Jeep – Fully Restored WW2 Military Vehicle

This authentic 1942 Ford GPW Script Jeep is a rare and highly collectible example of an early World War II military vehicle. Imported from the United States in 2013, it underwent a complete frame-off restoration, completed in 2019. Since then, the vehicle has been driven approximately 1,200 miles, exclusively on paved roads and dry sand tracks. Restored with great attention to detail and historical accuracy, the GPW was rebuilt using New Old Stock parts where possible. The paint was carefully applied by roller to replicate the original field appearance, and the underside was treated with anti-corrosion coating. Even the battery is housed in a reproduction Willard case to match the original setup. Mechanical work included a full professional overhaul of the engine, gearbox, and transfer case, as well as the complete renewal of all seals, bearings, and rubber components. The restoration also included new wiring based on the original layout, faithfully restored dashboard plates, a period-correct early model exhaust system, and historically accurate canvas and trim. The GPW is equipped with details such as a Sheller steering wheel, a mounted tire pump, a correct fire extinguisher, and additional accessories that enhance both functionality and authenticity. Many original features, including ‘F’-marked parts, have been preserved or accurately replaced. This vehicle is offered in the Tracks & Trade Summer Auction 2025.
