#Merseyrail On board a class 507 electric multiple unit train 'Northern line' service from Kirkby to Liverpool Central on the morning of Monday 23rd January 2023. With the new Stadler class 777 trains now being introduced to the Merseyrail network, it is now only a matter of time for the class 507 and 508s - now over 43 years old - so I thought I would take the opportunity to get some footage of a ride on-board one of these trains before it is too late. The number of the unit I am riding on here is 507014. The class 507 and 508 trains have become as synonymous with the Liverpool area over the years as much as the Liver Building, the Mersey Ferry, Cilla Black, The Beatles and Gerry and the Pacemakers so it was only right that I took this opportunity to get some footage - a tribute if you will to these old work horses which will soon be gone.
