Ubud has always been described as the heart of Bali, but this trip finally showed me why. Everything here feels slower, softer and more intentional, from the landscapes to the food to the way you start your morning. I stayed at a dreamy yet cosy resort that became the perfect home base, tucked quietly away yet close to everything I wanted to explore. We visited Kanto Lampo and Tibumana Waterfalls, both of which felt incredibly peaceful. My favourite experience, though, was spending time at the Tegallalang Rice Terrace, the views are iconic for a reason, and zip-lining across the terraces was such a fun way to take it all in. Ubud’s food scene also surprised me. Chupacabras quickly became a favourite, and Jungle Fish was such a beautiful place to unwind over lunch. And of course, I had to stop in at Chontea, a serene little matcha spot. We also stopped by the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, where we ended up making a few unexpected monkey friends. One even climbed onto my lap for a selfie, which became one of the funniest moments of the trip. If Ubud has been on your list, consider this your sign.
