Hello, dear elephant lovers. Welcome back to another heart-touching, emotional treatment mission carried out to treat a huge young wild elephant. This was an innocent elephant who was suffering from painful gunshot wounds. The unfortunate creature was initially noticed by a farmer working on his paddy field. He had noticed an elephant with a massively swollen leg limping around the paddy field in terrible pain. He was in a panic and immediately contacted the wildlife conservation office. "The elephant was limping throughout my paddy field, showing signs of immediate medical attention," the farmer explained. When the official questioned him further, he stated that the elephant's legs were enormously swollen and the wounded area was infected with worms and flies. After understanding the situation clearly, the wildlife conservation officials and the veterinary officials hurried to the location. Realizing how serious the situation was and that the elephant needed medical help right away. These officials received great assistance from the villagers in locating the elephant. They even gave the officials an explanation of the behavior and traits of the elephant. Even though there have been instances in the past where elephants have acted aggressively or damaged fields, people have always shown these animals care and compassion. This compassion created a sense of community that put the protection of wildlife first, guaranteeing that even in the face of conflict, humanity triumphed. The elephant is fully sedated after about 15 minutes. Now it is time to inject the necessary dosage of medications. Antibiotics, multivitamins, painkillers, and anti-inflammatory drugs are some of those medicines. When these giants are injured, they enter the forest holding bullet wounds that cause excruciating suffering. Most of the time, the suffering of these animals is not discovered until their condition deteriorates to a dangerous level. The gunshot wound may get infected over time, causing significant swelling. Then they leave their herd to live alone, as they are unable to move along with the other herd members or find their food in the usual ways. And this is a similar situation where the gunshot wounds have worsened into a pus-filled swelling with worms and flies. Here's a closer look at the massive swelling on the unfortunate animal's leg. Such swellings can be caused by a variety of factors, including infections, injuries, or underlying health issues that require quick attention. However, according to the doctors' examination, this massive swelling was caused by two gunshots fired by someone. A cruel villager may have shot the elephant with a gun. Human-elephant conflict regarding resources is generally the basis of such occurrences, as elephants can appear on agricultural grounds in search of food, causing severe crop damage and economic loss for villagers. In multiple instances, farmers may use firearms to safeguard their livelihoods. However, this method not only endangers elephants, but it also worsens human-wildlife conflict. The shooting of an elephant can result in severe injuries or even death. These are illegal acts that could threaten the entire wildlife population. Now, many of our viewers blame these officials for not performing a surgery to remove the bullet particles from the elephant's leg. Yet, there is one thing we have to understand. Performing surgery on a wild elephant has multiple obstacles, making it impractical. Wild elephants, compared to tamed elephants, are unfamiliar to human interaction, which might raise emotions of stress when interacting. On the other hand, their enormous body weight, aggressive behavior, and the need for post-operation care cause significant challenges. Wild animals require their natural environment, and keeping them in one location until the operation wounds have fully healed could lead to further problems and stress. So, carrying out a surgery on such a large and violent animal may be impractical. That's the reason why the officers make every attempt to treat the elephant with every essential medicine. A ranger officer was assigned to monitor the progress of the animal. The doctor explained that if the elephant was not fully cured, it would be transferred to a rehabilitation center. Then the antibiotic spray and the anti-fly spray were sprayed on the wound. The revival drug was injected. That is the end of this video.
